Abuja – Ejiwumi Dynamic Football Club of Abuja on Wednesday defeated Jay-One Football Academy 3-0 in the ongoing 2016 FCT Super 4 tournament.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the match was played at the Area 3 football pitch in Abuja.
Ojiofor Okenn put his team in the driving seat in the11th minute, while Victor Sunday extended their lead five minutes later.
Okenn underlined his team’s dominance with his second goal 10 minutes to the end of the game.
After the game, Abraham Omeire, coach of Ejiwumi Dynamic FC, told NAN he was very happy with his team’s performance.
“I am very happy because my boys did well, considering their lack of training and discomfort. It shows that our training days have really paid off.
“We will even do better in our next match, God’s willing,” he said.
Ezieude Justin, coach of Jay-One Football Academy said that the match’s final scoreline did not reflect their effort.
“This match did not show our hard work and it is very unfortunate that we lost to the other team. But we will do our best in our next game,” Justin said.
NAN also reports that in another match played at the same venue in the same competition, Belema FC beat Porto FC 2-1.(NAN)
