Yola – The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) on Monday inaugurated a liquid oxygen plant in Yola.
The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Mashal Sadiq Abubakar, while inaugurating the facility at the 103 Strike Group base in Yola, said that the plant was critical to the operations of NAF pilots.
Abubakar said the plant was provided as one of the strategic efforts by the Federal Government to end insurgency and other violent crimes in the country.
He urged the officers and airmen to work harder to bring an end to the Boko Haram insurgency.
The CAS assured them that the government would not relent in upgrading their standard of living.
According to him, the Federal Government will provide accommodation for the airmen.
He commended Gov. Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa for supporting the security operatives, particularly the air force.
In his remark, Bindow urged the military not to relent in the fight against insurgency.
He commended the air force for working toward achieving the vision of President Muhhamadu Buhari in fighting terrorism and other crimes.
The governor urged all Nigerians to continue to pray for the president.
He also pledged continued support to all security agencies in the state.
