Same Scenario, Contrasting Moralities: The Case of A ‘Saintly’ President

By Samuel Ajayi

Between 2010 and 2015 (which translates to SIX years in some people’s warped calculation), anything that was wrong with government, you blamed the then president. And the summary was simple:

“Jonathan is weak and clueless. The buck ends on his table as the president. He should take responsibility for whatever happens in his government.”

However, from 2015 to date, anything that goes wrong in government is blamed on OTHERS and not the president himself. Such wrong is always caused by those around him. And you hear:

“The president is honest and has integrity. It is those round him that are working against him. You can’t blame him for what others are doing. The President can’t be everywhere.”

This is the argument of people whose parents spent money to send to school.

This president that has integrity put his chief of staff on the Board of the nation’s major cash cow, the NNPC. I stand to be corrected, but check this:

IT IS THE FIRST TIME IN THE HISTORY OF THIS COUNTRY THAT A TOP PRESIDENTIAL AIDE IS ALSO  ON THE BOARD OF NNPC!

And companies that took contracts from NNPC are linked to this same aide.

You can add two plus two together and you will know where funds for 2019 re-election campaign will likely come from.

And some low minds, who have been totally lost to mental and emotional slavery, will be talking of an upright president who has integrity. If you tell that on my wall, I will block you.
