ABUJA, (Sundiata Post) – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), under its new management has vowed to continue with its decision to conduct a Forensic Exercise into the activities of Oando Plc.
The Commission said in a statement on Tuesday that it has written to company notifying it of its intention to continue with the forensic exercise.
SEC, in a brief statement on Tuesday, said “The Securities and Exchange Commission has reiterated its decision to conduct a Forensic Exercise into the activities of Oando Plc. This commitment is contained in a letter dated December 5, 2017 addressed to Oando Plc.
The Commission wishes to assure the general public of its zero tolerance to infractions in the Nigerian Capital Market.”
Recall that the Federal Government, Sunday, appointed Dr. Abdul Zubair, the acting Director General of the Commission with immediate effect.
He took over over from Mr Mounir Gwarzo, earlier suspended on allegations of financial impropriety.
