Ten more pupils of the abducted Bethel Baptist High School, Kaduna have been set free after 81 days in captivity.
Kaduna State Chapter Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Joseph Hayab confirmed their release on Sunday evening.
Rev. Hayab also said 11 of the pupils were still in the bandits’ den, but he expressed the hope that all of them would soon be released.
“Ten more students of Baptist High School were released this afternoon. We have 11 now with the bandits. We are thanking all Nigerians for their prayers and support, and trust God that the rest will be released very soon,” he said.
Bandits broke into the school on July 5 and abducted the pupils, and have been releasing them in batches after payment of ransom reckoned to be in millions.
