LAGOS – Twelve ships laden with petroleum products consisting of petrol, diesel, kerosene and base oil have arrived Lagos ports, waiting to berth.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said this in its daily “Shipping Position’’ made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos.
It said that six other ships containing food items had arrived at the ports, also waiting to berth with bulk wheat and bulk rice.
According to the document, 60 ships are expected at the ports from Nov. 19 to Dec. 5.
The contents of the expected ships are bulk fertiliser, containers, steel products, bulk malt, crude palm oil, used vehicles and general cargo.
The document also stated that 20 ships were discharging bulk rice, bulk gypsium, general cargo, fertiliser, bulk sugar and petroleum products at the ports. (NAN)
