Kaduna – A total of 15, 000 security personnel have been mobilised to provide security during the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Kaduna State, the Commissioner of Police, Umar Shehu, has said.
Shehu disclosed this while addressing the personnel on Friday in Kaduna.
He warned them against partisanship or compromising the integrity of the election, adding that they must be diplomatic, firm, fair and responsible in the discharge of their duties.
The police commissioner also charged the security personnel to work within the ambit of the law and regard the election as a national assignment which must be carried out diligently.

Shehu commended them for their professional display during the Presidential and National Assembly elections and urged them to redouble their efforts during the April 11governorship and state assembly elections.
The commissioner warned that any security officer found misbehaving during the polls would be sanctioned according to the law.
He said that all those deployed for the elections must work together irrespective of their commands to ensure synergy and success of the operation.
