LAGOS – The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) on Thursday said 18 ships with various commodities had arrived the Lagos ports, waiting to berth.
This was contained in NPA’s daily publication, ‘Shipping Position’ – made available to newsmen in Lagos.
The document indicated that 12 of the ships sailed into the ports with petroleum products including kerosene, diesel, petrol and bulk gas.
It stated that the other six ships arrived with bulkwheat, rice and bulk sugar.
According to the document, 67 ships are expected to arrive at the ports from Nov. 20 to Dec. 17.
A breakdown showed that 32 of the ships will sail in with containers into APM terminals, while 13 others would arrive with different food items.
The document also showed that 11 ships will arrive with petroleum products, while 10 others are expected with general cargo.
It added that a ship arrived into the ports with 410 units of used vehicles. (NAN)
