2 Jigawa students emerge winners of MSSN regional competition

Dutse –  Rahama Ahmed of Dutse International School and Rufa’i Sunusi of Government Day Secondary School, Tsohuwar Gwaram, all of Jigawa, have emerged overall winners of the Muslims Students Society of Nigeria (MSSN) Northern Regional Quiz Competition.

The competition was organised by the MSSN in Dutse.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Jigawa Leader (Amir) of the MSSN, Mahmoud Hassan, and made available to newsmen in Dutse

It said Rahama and Sunusi took first position (bracket) in the completion that drew over 200 participants from the 19 northern states and the FCT.

It said that the aim of the contest was to strengthen the intellectual and academic capabilities of Muslim students.

The statement said the programme featured English Language debate; Impromptu Speech; English Passage Reading; Arabic Passage Reading and Essay Writing.

It said the National edition of the competition would hold in Zamfara in October where the two winners from Jigawa would represent the state.
