Abuja – The police on Thursday arraigned one Amanla Ishaya, and Shemsu Garba, in a Gudu Upper Area Court, Abuja, for allegedly damaging a man’s tricycle with cutlasses.
The accused of no fixed addresses, are standing trial on a two-count charge of criminal conspiracy and mischief.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Israel Nongo, told the court that one Salisu Mustapha of Pigba-Kassa Estate, Abuja, reported the matter at the Apo Police Station on May 7.
He said that the accused persons on the same day, conspired and used cutlasses to hit the complainant’s tricycle, thereby causing damage to the tricycle.

Nongo said that the value of the tricycle was yet to be estimated, while the offences contravened provisions of Sections 97 and 327 of the Penal Code.
They pleaded not guilty, and the Judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko granted them bail in the sum of N10, 000 each, with one surety each, that must reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
He adjourned the case till June 23 for hearing. (NAN)
