MADINAH (Saudi Arabia) – Some Nigerian pilgrims in Saudi Arabia on Sunday commended the National Hajj Commision of Nigeria (NAHCON) for taking care of their feeding while in the holy land.
The pilgrims, who were lodged in various hotels across Madinah, gave the commendation while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.
Alhaji Ayinla Babatunde, one of the pilgrims from Kwara State, described the feeding arrangement as a good thing to happen for the first time ever in the history of Hajj, and urged the commission to sustain it.
“We pilgrims remain grateful to the Federal Government for the gesture and we pray that Allah should continue to strengthen the staff of the commission. [eap_ad_1] “We also plead with our brothers and sisters in Islam not to abuse the privilege for selfish reasons,” he said.
Also, Alhaji Muhammed Yahaya from Lagos State lauded the commission for its efforts in making sure that pilgrims received the best treatment while in the holy land.
Yahaya commended the Federal Government for also providing its pilgrims with good accommodation close to the Holy Mosque in Madinah.
“The accommodation given to us in Madinah is interesting compared to the previous years.
“We thank the Almighty Allah for giving the officials the wisdom to have come up with such beautiful ideas,” he said.
He said that, “every pilgrim is pleased and comfortable with the arrangement, as the hotels are very close to the Holy Mosque of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
He recalled that pilgrims had suffered seriously in the past while in the holy land, adding that it is now a thing of the past. (NAN).
