ABUJA – Sani Ndanusa, the President of Tennis Federation of Nigeria, on Wednesday in Abuja said 2014 had been a good year for the tennis board in Nigeria.
Ndanusa told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the Federation was grateful to God because it executed 95 per cent of its programmes.
“We (the federation) thank God for 2014, because it has been a very special year for us in tennis, especially in the area of the sport’s development.
“We had about 95 per cent of our programmes executed.
“The reason we could not even achieve 100 per cent was because of the outbreak of the Ebola Virus Disease in some countries, where international tournament were scheduled to take place.

“For example, the under-12, under-16 and under-18 tournament in Togo was a good one for Nigeria because we won almost all the trophies at the competition in which 10 countries from West Africa participated,” the TFN president said.(NAN)
