Kidnapped Tunisian embassy workers freed in Libya – Tunisia’s envoy

TUNIS (Reuters) – A Tunisian diplomat and a fellow embassy official kidnapped earlier this year by unknown gunmen in Libya have been freed, the Tunisian ambassador to Tripoli told Reuters on Sunday.

Armed groups have targeted foreign diplomats in Libya in abductions this year as a way to pressure for the release of Libyan militants held in jails overseas.
