ABUJA – Supreme Court Football Club of Abuja on Friday defeated visiting Kaduna United FC 2-1 in a Nigeria National League (NNL) Group A Week Four match.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that both teams struggled to dominate the game in the match played at the Area 3 Sports Complex in Abuja.
However, the visitors soon gained advantage, with Sunday Alasko opening scoring for Kaduna United in the 24th minute.
But Eric Ifegha equalised for Supreme Court FC in the 70th minute of play, after series of exchanges.
Emmanuel Gbemi then scored to give for the home side advantage six minutes before the end of the game.
After the match, Fatai Osho, coach of Supreme Court FC, told newsmen he was satisfied with his team’s performance.
“I am happy and satisfied with our match today.

”We now have seven points and are currently topping the group. We want to gain promotion this season and we are working towards that,’’ Osho said.
Barnabas Saleh, coach of Kaduna United, on his part said his team played well in spite of their loss.
”We played well today, even though we lost many scoring chances.
”But, we will go back to the drawing board and prepare better for our subsequent matches,” Saleh said.
In another match played at the venue, NAF FC defeated visiting Wikki Feeders of Bauchi in a Nigeria Nation-Wide League (NNWL) Division One D1 Week Four match.(NAN)
