ABUJA – Nigeria Football Association (NFA) on Monday said Wednesday’s match between the Super Eagles of Nigeria and South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in Uyo will now start at 6 p.m.
“We got information that the match will now kick off at 6 p.m. and not 5 p.m. as earlier slated,” NFA’s Head of International, Bola Oyeyode, said on Monday.
The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying match at the Akwa Ibom International Stadium will earn Nigeria a ticket to the competition to be hosted by Equatorial Guinea.
A statement from the NFA said the match’s co-ordination meeting will also take place from 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the Hotel L’Meridien in Uyo.
The statement by Ademola Olajire, the association’s Assistant Director of Communications, said the meeting would be co-ordinated by the game’s Match Commissioner, Laryea Louis of Ghana.(NAN)
