Yabo gave the advice during the inauguration of the anti-election violence campaign volunteers at Mumbayya House, Kano.
“As the 2015 election gets closer, we need to advise the youths not to be involved in any kind of violence, be it political thuggery or electoral violence,” he said.
The AIG said that youths and politicians were expected to make positive contribution for the advancement of Nigeria’s democracy.
In his remarks, Alhaji Ibrahim Wayya, the President of Northern Youths Assembly, also urged the youth not to take laws into their hands.
“Please do not take the laws into your hands, there must be law and order for any society to progress,” he admonished.
Wayya also advised the politicians to shun violence in the course of their campaigns. (NAN)
