ILORIN – The PDP in Kwara State is to procure megaphones as well as motorcycles to sensitise residents of the state about its manifesto and programmes.
The state’s Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Rex Olawoye, made this known on Thursday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin.
Olawoye also said the party would buy 16 vehicles, which would be distributed to local government chairmen of the party, while 200 motorcycles would be given to ward chairmen.
The items, he said, would be used by party officials to publicise the manifesto and programmes of the party in rural areas.
Olawoye added that the constitution of the party had been abridged to ensure better understanding by residents.
He also said the abridged manifesto would be translated into the major languages spoken in the state.

Olawoye, however, appealed to residents of the state to ensure they collected their Permanent Voter Card between Aug. 15 and Aug. 17 when INEC would commence distribution.
He said the voter card was the only weapon to effect a change of government in the state in the 2015 general elections.
Olawoye also promised that a PDP government in the state would make the welfare of the people its top priority. (NAN)
