ABUJA – Akwa United Football Club of Uyo on Thursday in Abuja thrashed Dallatu United of Gusau 6 – 0 in a Round of 64 clash of the 2015 Federation Cup.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the game started with the Uyo side dictating the pace and taking good command as early as the 9th minute.
Friday Ubong scored the first goal of the match in the 9th minute following a smooth pass from Ukeme Davies.
Abdulafeez Awakan extended the lead in the 33rd minute through a powerful header.
A minute to the end of the first half, Aniekepno Udoh, scored the third goal of the game with a good shot from outside the penalty box.
Davies scored the fourth goal in the 50th minute, while Thomas Nzikak added another 15 minutes later.
Ubong completed his brace in the 70th minute of play.
Nse Ubeh, chairman of Akwa United, told newsmen at the end of the match that the victory was a result of the team’s hard work.

“The victory is a result of the team’s hard work. The boys played according to the instructions of the Technical Adviser.
“So, if they continue this way, I know that they will go places,” he said.
Ubeh also said the team’s target was to win the Federation Cup.(NAN)
