Onitsha (Anambra)- The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) on Monday appealed to road users to co-operate with its marshals and collaborators to reduce accidents to the barest minimum.
The Sector Commander in Anambra, Mr Sunday Ajayi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Onitsha, Anambra, that motorists needed to imbibe the culture of safe driving
Ajayi explained that being conscious of developments on the road while driving would reduce road crashes to the barest minimum in 2015.
“One lesson we need to draw from the special patrol operation is just that people should have confidence in the service that we render.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
“So, this year, we want much more collaboration and co-operation because we are ready to give our best.
“We want co-operation in the area of compliance to traffic rules; if we do that it will equally enhance our service delivery.
“We want people to equally develop the attitude of safe driving and there should be consciousness on what we see on the road, reporting it is equally very important.
“And that is why we always release our number – 122 is FRSC emergency number and my own number is 080 776 90503.’’
The commander assured road users that they would get prompt response to any distress when they dial the numbers.
“Enhancing our service delivery means reducing road crashes to its barest minimum and keeping all road users safe,’’ he said.
Ajayi assured the public that FRSC officers and men are ready to give their best anytime. (NAN)
