ABUJA – The Minister of the FCT, Mr Bala Mohammed, on Sunday assured people of the territory of adequate security during the 2015 general elections.
Mohammed gave the assurance in an interview with State House correspondents when he led FCT Muslims on Eid-el-Fitri homage to President Goodluck Jonathan at the Presidential Villa.
“We are looking forward to next year, which is a year of elections, with a lot of optimism. [eap_ad_1] “And we assure residents that they are going to have a safe and secure environment by the grace of God,” Mohammed said.
He called for prayers for continued peace and security in the FCT, and for security agencies to enable them keep the territory secure.
Ex-militant, Alhaji Mujahid Asari- Dokubo, called for mutual respect among Nigerians regardless of their faith.
“When a man feels that because he is stronger than the other, he can take the right, property and life of the other person…it is very bad.
“If we are going to live together as a people, we must have mutual respect for each other irrespective of one’s religion,’’ he said. (NAN)[eap_ad_4]
