LAGOS – Dominion Divine Clearing Agency football team on Wednesday played 1-1 draw against Nigeria Ports Authority (NPA) team in a Group `B’ match in the ongoing 2015 Ships and Ports Soccer Competition in Lagos.
Dominion scored the first goal of the match in the 39th minute of play through Sunday Taiwo who capitalised on NPA’s defender back pass.
NPA who needed to win the match to book a place in the semifinals had earlier earned three points in their match against ENL Consortium by 2-1 goals in the opening Group `B’ match.
Dominion, however, got a well deserved equaliser in the second half through Nnamdi Daniel in the 54th minute after NPA’s goalkeeper dropped shot from NPA attack.
”We are, presently, leading in the group with four points from two matches and we hope to come up stronger against Micurer Services in our final group match,” Martins said.
He said that he was hopeful that his players would perform better in the last group match.
”We played well against NPA, we were really stretched in all corners and it was exciting to get a draw from the match because I thought we would lose the match.
”We have to play better in our last group match to stand a chance to book a semifinal ticket,” Adiele said.
