Ikole (Ekiti) – Chief Titus Fapounda, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ekiti state has described the 2016 budget as masses-friendly.
Fapounda made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ikole on Saturday.
He said that the budget, which was signed by President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, would have positive impact on the lives of all Nigerians when effectively implemented.
He assured that the living standard of Nigerians would improve gradually as they begin to feel the impact, saying the change Nigerians voted for would better their lives.
Fapounda commended Nigerians for their perseverance and urged them to support the current administration with prayers to ensure that government determination to transform the country came to reality.
“Every nation has its bad and good periods, and Buhari’s government has all what it takes to bring the nation back to its rightful track with the support and prayers of all Nigerians,’’ he said.
The chieftain tasked members of the ruling party in the country to always meet and discuss how they could move the party forward rather than listening to condemnations from opposition party.
He appealed to the party leaders to ensure that all members were carried along in their activities and to listen to grievances of their members for appropriate settlement. (NAN)
