Omu-Aran (Kwara) – A cleric, Prophet Christopher Owolabi, on Thursday predicted that Nigeria’s economy would witness an unprecedented turnaround under President Muhammadu Buhari in 2016.
Owolabi gave the prophecy during a special service ahead of the New Year in Omu-Aran.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Owolabi is the Prophet-in-Charge, Christ Apostolic Church, Ori-Oke Irapada, along Omu-Aran/Ilofa Expressway, Kwara,
The cleric also advised Gov. Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State to pray fervently, to avoid impeachment in 2016.
He said the present administration’s anti-corruption crusade was already yielding positive results, as it was part of God’s grand design to transform the nation’s economy.
Owolabi said the anti-corruption crusade, like other similar economic recovery initiatives, would prevail in spite of the stiff opposition and criticism it was already facing.
He urged those nursing negative ambitions of defrauding the country or unleashing untold hardship on innocent citizens to have a rethink to avert God’s wrath.
“I have said it on this platform severally that President Muhammadu Buhari’s anti-corruption crusade is part of God’s purposeful intervention to better the lot of Nigerians.
“It is a grand design by God to emancipate the country and elevate its status to that of a developed economy.
“Fayose, on the other hand, should pray very hard to overcome an imminent impeachment from office in 2016,” the cleric said.

Owolabi urged the Federal Government to find a lasting solution to the incessant clashes involving religious sects to prevent them from escalating.
NAN recalls that Owolabi predicted Buhari’s victory in the 2015 general elections and the emergence of Sen. Bukola Saraki as the 8th Senate President.
The cleric, in a prophecy ahead of the Kogi governorship election, also advised the people to intensify prayers to avoid unpleasant circumstances arising from the poll. (NAN)
