Nigeria holds great potential for new instant messaging App — Jongla CEO

Lagos –  The Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jongla Ltd, Mr Riku Salminen, on Tuesday said that the country holds great potential for the new Jongla instant messaging app, which is being introduced into the Nigerian market.

Salminen told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview that the Jongla app would open up new instant free messaging to people living and working in Africa.

NAN reports that Jongla is a Finnish-¬based company specialising in device and platform independent mobile messaging.

Salminen said: “We have made instant messaging possible for people who don’t have high-end smartphones and live and work in places with limited access to broadband.

“We chose Nigeria to launch Jongla in Africa because we know that many people here are frustrated with the current user experience that most of the IM apps offer.’’
