Christ Embassy Church Sued Over Alleged Debt

The Gberu branch of Christ Embassy Church headed by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome has been sued over alleged debt amounting to $53,000.

The case was filled at Bulawayo court by property owners of Central real agents in Zimbabwe.

According to Zimeye, Christ embassy church also known as Believers loveworld Incorporated owes $53,800 in unpaid rentals, water bills and service charges for its rented apartment at civic centre.

The building owned by Brainman investments was rented by the church for its services.

The summon reads: “In breach of the 2014 lease agreement, the amount of $24,439 accrued,

“In 2015, the amount went to $19,584, and in 2016 the amount went to $53,607 which is now due.

“Despite demand, the defendant has failed or refused to pay.”

The church is yet to respond to the summon.
