Talented Nigerian act, Richee, colours the airwaves with reggae, as he drops a new tune for our listening pleasure.
He brings back to life the old reggae classic “Bam Bam”, which was originally performed by the first female dance-hall DJ Ophlin Russell, better known by either of these two synonyms Sister Nancy or Muma Nancy.
On this one he featured Super Cool Cat boss, Ice Prince, making the 70’s reggae amthem into a new school favourite.
The Percussive mid tempo, head bobbing groove is about their encounter with a shapely and sexy female love interest.
Though a pop song, “Bambam” has more of a cross over feel and will still be a treat for reggae traditionalists due to the sampling of the original version.
Both artistes have a knack for delivering nice songs with dance-hall vibes and they displayed that on this one.
