Dr Khalid Aliyu, JNI Secretary General, made the call on Friday in Kaduna in a statement issued to newsmen.
He said that Muslims and Nigerians in general should pray to seek Allah’s intervention on the insecurity challenges facing the country, as well as against unforeseen misfortune.
“We pray Allah, the Most High will continue to guide the President and ease the burden of stewardship for him and his team,“ he said.
He urged Muslim Ummah to eschew bitterness, forgive one another and be responsible in all their undertakings.
He also urged them to avoid anything capable of attracting Allah’s anger in the present circumstance the country had found itself.
Aliyu reminded Muslims that constant glorification of Allah was the most important spiritual act in the days of festivity.
The secretary general wished all Muslim brethren currently performing the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia hitch-free exercise and safe return to their respective families. (NAN)
