He said 15 of the youth were already in their first year of the programme, while 20 others would soon report to the college, having scaled through the screening.
Akaku said the awardees were selected on the basis of their performance during an examination conducted by Silverline Consult, Jos.
In his remarks, the state All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chairman, Mr Ishaya Bako, said the scholarship award formed part of Shiddi’s campaign promises.
“The scholarship award is part of Shiddi’s campaign promise to empower the youths of his constituency.
“He is focusing a lot on the media empowerment because he noticed that it is an area that is far behind.
“Shiddi has also kept his promise by providing various skills acquisition training to no fewer than 200 members of his constituency.
“Currently, he is sinking a borehole in the constituency. All these are highly commendable,” Bako said.
The chairman called on the constituents to give Shiddi their maximum cooperation to enable him serve them better.
He also urged other political office holders in the state to borrow a leaf from the representative. (NAN)
