Numan crisis: Osinbajo identifies long-standing animosity as cause of crisis

Numan (Adamawa) –   Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Tuesday identified the long-standing animosity between Bachama and Fulani communities as the cause of the recent crisis in Numan.

Osinbajo made the assertion when he paid a courtesy call on the Hama Batchama, Stephen Irimiya, in his palace in Numan town.

He described the recent killings in Numan as needless, adding that the problem of the common man was how to sustain livelihood and not to kill.

According to him, the problem is being caused by humans and not spirits and therefore, requires humans to resolve it.

“There is no gain in flames; there is no achievement in killing; nobody can claim victory in this kind of circumstance.
