Just In: INEC Declares Osun Election Inconclusive, Supplimentary Election Holds Sept 27

Abuja (Sundiata Post) –  Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declares Saturday’s governorship election in Osun  State inconclusive.

The final results as declared by INEC for the top three contending parties are as follows: APC 254,345: PDP 254,698 and SDP 128,049.

It was also announced that a total of 3,498 votes were cancelled

According to INEC, a supplementary election is to be held on Thursday, September 27, at the affected seven polling units where elections were cancelled.

Clarification on Cancelled OsunDecides2018 Election:

The re-run election are to be held in the following; Orolu LG – 2 Units, Ife South – 1 Unit, Ife North – 1 Unit and Osogbo – 1 Unit.

With 353 difference and with 3,498 registered in the 5 cancelled units, there will be a re-run on Thursday, September 27, INEC said.

It was gathered that the result declared in Aiyedaade local government after collation was 10,836 but it was alleged that INEC announced lowered figure of 9, 836 at the collation centre.
