Nasarawa varsity gets new Vice Chancellor

Lafia –   Governor Umaru Al-Makura has approved the appointment of Prof. Suleiman Bala-Mohammed as the acting Vice Chancellor of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

A statement signed by Abdullahi Mohammed, the Secretary to the State Government, indicated that Bala-Mohammed is to replace Prof. Mohammed Mainoma, the current Vice Chancellor, whose tenure expires on Monday, Oct. 8.

The statement, which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Monday in Lafia, said that the new official would remain in that capacity until a substantive Vice Chancellor was appointed.

Until his appointment, Bala-Mohammed was a senior lecturer with the Department of Sociology at the University of Abuja. (NAN)
