ABUJA (Sundiata Post) Donald Duke captured it correctly when he said, at a recent event I attended, “There are no political parties in Nigeria, only political platforms.” He explained that what pass for parties in Nigeria are actually platforms for seeking offices, and that our politicians change camps not because of any ideology but undisguised selfish interests.

We are expecting the PDP to put its house in order, and prepare to offer Nigerians an alternative in the 2019 elections, but what read are reports of their mass defections to APC, day in, day out. And the same APC who have persistently described the PDP as corrupt are gleefully welcoming them into their fold in grand style. Well, who am I kidding? The PDP, from Kwankwaso through Saraki to Atiku played a part in installing this APC experiment.

Buhari may win his next election, not because he deserves another term. But because the oppositions here are a cruel joke.
