Lafia – The Nasarawa state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has inaugurated a 120-man campaign committee ahead of 2019 general election.
Speaking during the inauguration on Tuesday at the party’s secretariat in Lafia, Mr Francis Orugu, the state PDP chairman, said with the formal commencement of the campaign, the party was set to win all elections in the state.
According to him, the party has carefully selected members of the committee by considering individual capacities to mobilise for the party in their respective areas.
Orugu also apologised to members of the party, aggrieved as a result of the outcome of the recent primaries and called on them to join hands to ensure victory in 2019.
Similarly, Mr Emmanuel Ombugadu, the state governorship candidate of the party, expressed gratitude to members for the confidence repose on him to fly the party’s flag.
He promised to run an all-inclusive government if elected as governor in 2019.
Ombugadu promised to bring his experience to bear to transform the state into a modest in the country.
Similarly, Sen. Suleiman Adokwe (Nasarawa-South) said that with the inauguration of the committee, the party is sure of winning election in 2019.
Adokwe also explained that with the refusal of President Muhaamdu Buhari to sign the amended electoral bill, the party would not accept the use of card reader because it is not recognised by law.
