2023 Election Will make Or Mar Nigeria – Adang

Abuja (Sundiata Post) – Next year’s presidential election presents a unique and last opportunity to rescue Nigeria from extinction, the Director of Strategy, Obidient Movement National Coordinating Council, Mr Adang Azi Adang said on Monday at a press conference in Abuja.

Adang Azi Adang who spoke on behalf of the council stressed that Obidient Movement was on a mission to reset Nigeria to enable it fulfill its foundational mandate of a country where “peace and justice shall reign.

“We are for a New Nigeria where social justice and institutional democratic values will be well respected so that the Labours of our heroes past shall not be in vein.

“This has become more exigent now as the country is fast drifting and descending towards the dire precipitate of collapse” He added, noting that,” the urgency to rise to the occasion at this critical juncture demands self reflection and a compelling need for patriotism that is driven by the zeal to save Nigeria as opposed to vested interests”.

He said the country’s economy was no doubt in shambles with little or no efforts to turn things around because of poor fiscal and monetary policies under the present All Progressives Congress, (APC) government headed by General Muhammadu Buhari.

Mr Adang described the current APC regime as colossal falure in all indices and indicators of good governance especially in three key areas the party anchored its manifesto which were improved security, economy and war against corruption.

The National Coordinating Council, according to him, “is made up of patriotic and mostly young Nigerians across geological and ethno-relious lines who believe that a more prosperous, united, secure and peaceful Nigeria is possible.”

The National Director of Strategy further stated that Obidien Movement was organically built by Nigerians of like minds to actualize the emergence of the Labour Party’s Obi-Datti as the president and Vice president of Nigeria come May 29, 2022.

Members of the group at the briefing included, Dr Olu Olumese Hillary, Director in charge of the Secretariat, Efuru Nwapa-Obua, Director of Research/Mobilisation, Poster Omoh, Media Director, Danjuma Musa Ipeyen, Coordinator Northwest Dr Hadiza K Miner, Coordinator North central and Barrister Promise Adewusi, Coordinator Southwest.

Others were Prince Justice Faloye Southwest, Dan Musa, Northeast, Buhari Yerim Bala, Northeast, Barrister Henrey Adibe, Southeast, Engineer Leonard Obibi, South South, Jeff Obiahor, Canada Desk Lead and Jasper Njoku United Ststes Desk Lead.

The spokesperson for the Thirdforce, Dr Yunusa Tanko who was also present at the conference emphasised that the Obidient Movement was not out to attack groups or individuals but to propagate the gospel of a productive country which remained the focal point of Obi-Datti mantra.
