Kaduna – The All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship candidate for Kaduna State, Sen. Uba Sani, has promised to build on the women empowerment programmes of Gov Nasir El Rufai when voted into office.He made the pledge at an event organised by ‘Igabi Women Wins for Uba Sani’ at the Trade Fair Complex on Sunday in Kaduna.The APC governorship candidate, who noted that women constituted the majority in the El-Rufai cabinet, said that he would improve on the numbers.“If voted into office as the governor of the state, my administration will give financial assistance to women who are engaged in businesses.“Those who are not doing business will be given skilled acquisition training and a start up capital; suitably qualified women will be given appointments and employment in my administration.“Also, via my Foundation, I will assist orphans and other vulnerable groups and households,” he said.Sani, who pleaded for support, also pledged to campaign door-to-door and to all nooks and crannies of the state to canvass for votes.He urged the people of Kaduna State to vote for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for the presidency and himself in the governorship election, adding that they should vote for APC in all elections.(NAN)
