Ibadan – No fewer than 2,250 corps members would partake in a three-week orientation for graduates mobilised for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Oyo state.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the orientation commences nationwide on April 27.
This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday in Ibadan by Mr Stephen Bankole, Head of the Public Relations of NYSC in the state.
Bankole said that the exercise for 2016 Batch ‘A’ corps members in Oyo state would take place at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Gbakuta, off Okeho road, Iseyin.
The spokesman said that official opening and swearing in ceremony was slated for April 29, and would be presided over by Gov. Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state.
Bankole said that the Chief Judge of Oyo state, Justice Muktar Abimbola, would administer the oath of allegiance on the corps members.
He enjoined the people of the state, NURTW and RTEAN to extend their established hand of fellowship to the prospective corps members many of whom are visiting the state for the first time. (NAN)
