2,258 pilgrims from Kaduna arrive Saudi Arabia

Kaduna – Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Board on Thursday said that 2,258 intending pilgrims were airlifted from Kaduna to Saudi Arabia

The Public Relations Officer of the Board, Mallam Yunusa Abdullahi, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kaduna.

He said the airlifting, which started on Sunday, Aug. 23, was hitch-free with the eight flights that participated in the exercise.

“The airlifting did not encounter any hitch since its commencement. The exercise has been smooth and successful since its commencement on Aug. 23, in Kaduna.

“Eight flights transported the pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. Once the intending pilgrims are cleared from hajj camp, they will move straight to the airport to be airlifted to Saudi Arabia.

“Pilgrims should bear with the new system of grouping. There is enough time for every pilgrims to be airlifted, so there is no cause for alarm,’’ he said.

Yunusa urged the pilgrims to exercise patience, be law abiding and be good ambassadors of Nigeria as well as obey the law of Saudi Arabia. (NAN)
