Igwe was arraigned on a one-count charge of stealing.
The Prosecutor, Insp Samad Aliu, said Igwe was an employee of one Stephen Ogbonna, a dealer in cell phones.
Aliu alleged that Igwe had been selling the cell phones in the shop without remitting the whole proceeds to the shop owner.
He said Igwe committed the alleged offence on Jan. 26, 2013 about 8 a.m. at Shop 6, Iwo Road Shopping Complex, Ibadan.
Aliu said the offence contravened section 390 (6) (9) of the Criminal Code Cap.38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the offence.
Chief Magistrate Olaide Amzat granted the accused bail in the sum of N1 million with two sureties in like sum.
Amzat ordered that one of the sureties must be a civil servant on not lower than grade level 12 while the other should be resident within the magisterial district.
He adjourned the case till June 11 for mention. (NAN)
