Ikorodu – A 28-year-old man, Ambali Sadiq, on Monday in Lagos appeared before Chief Magistrate
W. B. Balogun for allegedly stealing a motorcycle and other items valued at N307, 300.
Sadiq is facing a two-count charge of stealing and conspiracy at an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court.
According to the prosecutor, Sgt. Famuyiwa Adegesin, the accused committed the offences sometime in September at Maya area
of Ikorodu, Lagos, at 10.00 a.m.
Adegesin put the total value of the stolen items, including the N50,000 cash at N307, 300, property of Sunday David.
He told the court that the accused a motorcycle marked EKY 793 QJ worth N250,000, a Tecno phone valued at N7,300 and N50,000
from David.
The offences violated Sections 287 and 411 of Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge.
The magistrate admitted the accused to bail of N100,000 and two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case until Oct. 25 for
further hearing.
