Lagos – A total of 29 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive in Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos from July 31 to Aug. 24.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) made the announcement in its `Shipping Position’ on Monday in Lagos.
It said that the ships contained buck wheat, bulk fertiliser, general cargo, frozen fish, crude palmolein, bulk corn and bulk sulphur.
Other cargos carried by the ships are bulk sugar, empty container, lubrication oil, bulk corn, petrol and containers, laden with goods.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 10 ships had since arrived in the ports, waiting to berth with bulk fertiliser, bulk corn and petrol.
Twenty three other ships are currently at the ports discharging buck wheat, bulk corn, bulk fertilizer and general cargo.
The ships are also carrying bulk gas, petrol, bulk sulphur, empty container, raw sugar, ballast empty containers and containers.
