3 petrol station attendants docked over theft of N.6m

Abeokuta – Three station attendants were on Friday arraigned   an Abeokuta Magistrates’ Court  over alleged conspiracy and stealing of N600, 000.

The accused persons are Muinat Sotande, 28; Ajibola Adeyemi, 35; and Saheed Adenekan, 32.

According the prosecutor, Insp Famous Edigbue, the accused allegedly committed the offences sometimes in March at Sandop Filling Station, Olomore, Abeokuta.

Edigbue said the accused, who were attendants, conspired and stole N600, 000 belonging to the filling station.

He said the offences contravened Sections 516, 383 and 390 (9) of the Criminal Laws of Ogun, 2006.

The suspects, hower, pleaded not guilty to a  two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.

The Magistrate, Mr Olu , granted the accused persons  bail in the sum of  N100,000 with two sureties each  in like sum.

He adjourned the case to May 6 for further hearing. (NAN)[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
