HANOI – No fewer than three Vietnamese soldiers were injured on Thursday when a military helicopter fell down over the runway on Phu Quy Island, Central Binh Thuan Province, Hanoi.[pro_ad_display_adzone id=”10″]
A MI-8 helicopter fell down at about 9 a.m. local time from 9 to 10 metres over the runway located in the military zone on Phu Quy Island, causing injuring three soldiers on board.
“The soldiers were immediately transported to a hospital,’’ Ta Minh Nhat, Deputy Chairman, Phu Quy district, said.

The district official said that there were eight people aboard the helicopter when the accident occurred.
He also said the helicopter’s tail was broken and dropped 30 metres away, while debris from the aircraft broke glass windows and walls of nearby houses. (Xinhua/NAN)
