ILORIN – More than 4,000 people have so far benefited from the on-going free health services being provided by the Kwaran Government and some indigenes of the state in the Diaspora.
Dr AbdulLateef Olaniyan, the President and co-founder of the U.S- based Mosses Lake Medical Team, made this known on Wednesday in llorin while speaking with newsmen.
He said the programme was jointly organised by the government in collaboration with Kwara Association of Nigerians in North America and indigenes of the state in the Diaspora.
The team, he added, had also carried out 31 free surgeries.
Olaniyan said that about $ 175, 000 had been spent by the team to purchase of drugs.
He said that Kwara indigenes in the Diaspora were also planning to establish health centres across the state.
Olaniyan commended the state government for embarking on the free health programme. (NAN)
