Abuja (Sundiata Post) — Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has claimed that sums of $43.4 million, N23 million and £27,800 recovered by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) from an apartment in the Ikoyi area of Lagos on Wednesday belongs to the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi.
Fani-Kayode, who made the claim on his twitter handle, @realFFK, on Friday, went further to say that the the statement by the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) that the said monies belong to them is fake.
“The $43 million is Rotimi Amaechi’s.He owns the flat it was found in too.NIA story is fake news! NIA does not keep cash in Minister’s flats!” he wrote.
