49 Yoruba Nation agitators get bail

A Lagos State Magistrate Court sitting Yaba on Monday granted bail to 49 agitators arrested and detained by the Lagos State .

Police paraded them in connection with Oodua Republic mega rally at Ojota. were among them.

of Police Hakeem Odumosu said some of them were intercepted with guns, axes, Oodua flags, Yoruba vests and other items.

They are to provide N300,000 with two sureties each as a condition for their bail.

A motion for the bail application filed by human rights lawyers led by Olasupo Ojo and Oladapo Kayode.

“One of the sureties be a family member and the other a community or clergy with proof of tax payment,” it was said.
