Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The total confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria hit 59,001 as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 153 new fresh infections on Thursday.
Similarly, the NCDC report released via it’s twitter handle account further said that the total of 50, 452 patients have been treated and discharged from across the isolation centres in Nigeria.
The health agency also stated that 1,112 deaths have been recorded since the index case of the novel virus in February 27 2020.
According to the NCDC, the 153 fresh cases were recorded from 14 states out the 36 states of the federation including FCT as follows:
Lagos-81; Rivers-21; FCT-11; Ogun-8;
Kaduna-7 and Oyo-6.
Others are; Akwa Ibom-5; Osun and Katsina-3 each; Edo, Ebonyi and Nasarawa-2 each; Plateau and Kano-1 case each.
