Abuja (Sundiata Post) – At least five persons, including a minor, were reported killed when a single-engine plane crashed in a residential area in the Brazilian state of São Paulo on Saturday.
The Fire Department of the state of São Paulo (southeast) wrote on its X handle that “Aircraft crash. Another charred body was found (of a minor), thus totalling five deaths.”
The firefighters did not detail whether all the victims were travelling on the aircraft, which was “small in size, single-engine type.”
The plane reportedly fell in a tree-lined square surrounded by houses in the town of Jaboticabal more than 340 km from the city of São Paulo.
Images of the incident spread on social media show that the plane was engulfed in flames after the crash.
The plane was a single-engine RV-10 with seating for a pilot and three passengers.
