5 Suspects arrested over Kenya campus attack

NAIROBI – Kenya’s Interior Cabinet Secretary, Joseph Nkaissery, confirmed on that police have arrested 3 more over Garissa University attack, making 5 the number those in custody.

The three are said be associates of terror mastermind, Gamadhere, and were nabbed at the Somalia border while trying to flee on Friday.

The al-Qaeda linked militant group Al-Shabaab issued a statement earlier today, warning Kenya of attacks after the attack at the Kenyan university which has so far claimed 148 lives.

Reacting to the attack, President Uhuru Keyatta said: “this is a moment for everyone throughout the country to be vigilant as we continue to confront and defeat our enemies.”

“It is a very sad day for Kenya,” Interior Ministry Joseph Nkaissery said of the carnage at Garissa University College.

World leaders, including President Barack Obama of U.S. have also condemned the attack.
