Abuja (Sundiata Post) – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abia State Command has deployed 2000 men and officers of the agency to ensure security of lives and property during the Yuletide.
The NSCDC State Commandant, Mr. Vincent Ogu, disclosed this while speaking on the preparedness of the agency ahead of the celebration.
In a separate development, in Bauchi State, the police command has deployed over 3000 personnel across the state to secure churches and venues of events as part of security arrangements to ensure a free hitch Christmas and New Year celebration
In a statement by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Ahmed Wakil, yesterday, he said it would collaborate with sister security agencies and all critical stakeholders to ensure that the celebration was peaceful and hitch-free.
