Kano – A 56-year-old man Ayuba Yunusa, was on Friday docked before a Senior Magistrates’ Court in Kano over alleged trespass.
Yunusa, who resides at Sheka Quarters Kano, is facing a count charge of criminal trespass, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecuting Counsel, Mr Yusuf Sale, told the court that one Sani Dogo of Darmanawa Quarters Kano reported the case at State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), on July 11, 2019.
Sale said that the defendant criminally trespassed into the Dogo’s plot and took some portion of the land located at Dan Tsinke Quarters Kano without his consent.
He said when the defendant was questioned, he could not give satisfactory account of himself.
The Senior Magistrate, Aminu Fagge, ordered the remand of the defendant in Kano correctional facility and adjourned the case till Jan. 21, for mention.
